Hi, I’m Phoebe Herring,
I’m a remedial massage therapist and have been in the industry since 2010.
Over my career, I have worked in a variety of settings ranging from busy chiropractic clinics, to wellness centers and also with sporting teams.
During this time I have developed a unique style of massage which incorporates a variety of sports/remedial techniques including sweedish massage, trigger point, myofascial release, active release, visceral manipulation, broad handed techniques and deep tissue.
My philosophy is there is no one size fits all treatment, and I enjoy working with my clients to come up with a massage treatment that fits for them – not trying to make them fit the treatment.
Over the years, I have also developed an interest in the area of mental health, particularly stress, anxiety, depression and trauma. I bring a trauma informed approach to my massage treatments, and am passionate about providing massage in a way that helps to support the nervous system, promoting safety and regulation for the mind and body.
I am mindful of the importance of guiding my clients through treatments in a way that helps them feel safe, supported and in control of their own session. I believe that connection and trust are equally important as the physical treatment and feel that when this occurs people already start to move and feel better.
I have recently joined Karen Baikie’s group practice Grow Mindfully in Crows Nest.
